Our landscape designer will visit your property and meet with you to discuss your needs and will attempt to find an agreed and approximate budget cost for your desired improvements. Then by asking questions about your intended use of your space and any personal preferences, they will be able to begin creating a custom landscape design tailored to your home and lifestyle.

Shortly after your initial consultation, your landscape designer will meet with you again to go over a colored 3D rendering which will show you exactly where the patios, pergolas, or even specific plants will be located. Upon approval and a down-payment on your landscape design project, the work will begin in the weeks or months to follow, as previously arranged with your designer.

What is included in our landscape design services?
We're 100% turnkey. We will both design and build your entire project from start to finish. We'll handle the excavation + rebar + concrete, the stonework and finish it with laying sod to restore the lawn. We can also build you a pavilion, firepit, deck, fireplace, lighting, landscape design/installation and more. We'll even clean up! No games, no gimmicks, and no surprise change orders. We are your one-stop shop for your outdoor space – no more contacting and managing multiple contractors who don't communicate and leave you in the middle to manage your own project. Our talented landscape designers will communicate with you throughout the project to make your vision a reality.
Do you provide 3D landscape designs?
Yes. We provide 3D landscape designs to help Northern Virginia homeowners visualize their outdoor living spaces and ensure we are all on the same page before construction begins. However, Rock Water Farm only offers design services for projects that we will also be building. We do not offer “design only services”.
How long will it take before I can enjoy my new outdoor living space?
We would love to tell you "next week" but that's simply not reality. Once we have designed the project and you’ve agreed to the scope and signed an agreement with a deposit, we'll get to work assisting you on your HOA documentation. When we break ground, it's very likely that you can be using your new outdoor space in 30-60 days but there are variables that affect that, such as project scope, material availability and of course...the weather. 
What does a patio project cost?
That's the answer everyone wants! If you're on a relatively flat property, you can expect to have a starting price point of $20k-$25k for a moderate patio and site restoration project in Northern Virginia. Rock Water Farm can also help with fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, decks, porches, pavilions, and extensive landscaping at an additional cost.
